Punta Cana is a tropical paradise that is filled with beautiful beaches and lush natural landscapes. While most tourists spend their days staying at an all inclusive resort, there’s a lot of beauty that goes unnoticed.
1. MONTANA ROTANDA
This is truly a hidden gem! Located just 1.5 hours away from Punta Cana, Montana Rotanda offers panoramic views of both the coast and mountains. With over-the-edge swings, hammocks, and seesaws, it provides a fantastic photo opportunity. There’s also a restaurant situated at the top of the mountain that serves local delicacies. It’s worth every minute of the drive!
2. SAONA ISLAND
Saona Island is a government-protected nature reserve that is part of Cotubanamá National Park. Various tour companies provide day trips to Saona Island, with convenient hotel or Airbnb pickup options. The catamaran ride to the island, surrounded by turquoise waters and hammocks, was one of our favorite highlights from the trip. We even spotted starfish in the water on our journey to the island.
3. PAMPERING
Don’t forget to treat yourself! Get a massage while relaxing on the beach – there’s nothing like it. I even opted for braids, because, why not? A bonus: no worries about the humidity messing up your hair.
